Wendy

Wendy

Wendy is the Co-Owner of Welwyn Florist and has been a floral designer for over 30 years.
She was inspired to pursue a career in Floristry after watching her Mum win Gold medals at Chelsea Flower Show.
Wendy went on to complete an apprenticeship at Aylett Nurseries in St Albans.

Her favourite season for flowers is Autumn due to the rich colours and textures.

One of Wendy’s favourite floral moments was creating flowers for the Royal Family.

Sue

Sue

Sue is a very arty and creative lady, who has a love for flowers. She is also a keen gardener and has a passion for plants.
Her favourite floral season is Spring due to the flower availability. Her favourite flower is the Daffodil but is partial to any scented spring flower.

Mark

Mark

The Co-owner and flower buyer of Welwyn Florist.
Mark travels down to Covent Garden Market at 2am to buy fresh flowers for the shop. Most of the flowers bought are British as we try to support British Growers where possible. He has worked with flowers and plants for 40 + years so has a fountain of knowledge of Horticulture.
Marks’s favourite floral moment is doing flowers for the Royal family, delivering them personally to Buckingham Palace, Clarence House and Windsor Castle.
His preferred floral season is Summer as he like Delphiniums, Scabious and Dahlias.

Lorraine

Lorraine

Lorraine studied art and design at university. She worked in a flower shop whilst studying.
Her favourite flower is the Tuberose. Lorraine is inspired by colours, shapes and forms, with a big love for the wild and natural elements.

Abbie

Abbie

She has grown up in the floral industry as both her parents work with flowers. Her Grandmother has won Gold Medals at Chelsea Flower Show so she is inspired to follow in the Family footsteps.
Abbie studied the Level 3 Advanced Diploma at Capel Manor College and recently graduated with distinctions in every unit of work.
Her favourite floral moment is doing flowers for the Radio Times event at Claridge’s Hotel, London.
She is inspired by wild and natural elements which is shown in her work.
Her favourite floral seasons are Spring and Summer.
